Ever wonder or depressed about your body shape? Well, it might not be your fault that you are obese, or fat. There are actually 3 categorizes of somatotypes. The first 1 being endomorph, mesomorph and ectomorph. In simple language, endomorph are those whom you can see having an apple body shape , and ectomorph is those lean and thin "lidi-like" body shape and as for mesomorph, they are the lucky ones , examples are of mesomorph consists of swimmers and athletes. However, not everyone is a pure endomorph, or a mesomorph . Actually, we are build up of all the 3 somatotypes meaning an mesomorph can be a little endomorph and ectomorph.
You can actually identify your somatotypes by judging on the few similiar characteristics.
Endomorph (The huge ones) :
1. You are apple shaped with your shoulder width smaller than your waist
2. You are overweight and have high body fats
3. You have trouble losing weight
4. When you hold your wrist, you cannot overlap ur thumb with your middle finger.
5. You have tendency of accumulating fats in your hips and this leads to apple shaped body.
Ectomorph (The lean ones) :
1. You are thin and usually have shoulder with the width of your waist.
2. You are underweight and have low body fats
3. You have trouble gaining weight
4. When you hold your wrist, you overlap your thumb with your middle finger,
5. You have very high metabolism and do not accumulate fats.
Mesomorph ( the gifted ones) :
1. You are muscular and have broad shoulder and a small waist.
2. You are usually athletic person
3. You gain and loss weight easily
4. You dont really accumulate fats that easily.

So which category you fall into? dont be depressed with the results you obtained, as it is already mentioned. Everyone is made out of all 3 somatotypes, and there is a very rare % of pure somatotypes holders. This somatotypes can be manipulated for example, I was a endomorph. I have difficulty in losing weight although i attend to swimming in the morning every day with little resistance training at home consisting of light dumbell curls, pushups , situps. Although i am still partially endomorph, i am more towards mesomorph by having relatively high metabolism due to my success in loosing body fats.
